Our goal is always to keep all the incredible Kingdom of Threads customers happy. If you, for any reason, have a problem, please contact us at hello@kingdomofthreads.com. We try to respond to every email as quickly as possible, but as we're only two people, expect a response within 24 to 48 hours.
Are your products officially licensed?
Yes! Whenever our products are based on a specific book, character, or series, they are officially licensed and created with permission from the author, their agent, or their publisher.
We’re passionate about protecting creators and honoring their worlds, so every licensed design is approved directly by the author or their team before it arrives in your hands and the author is compensated for every sale.
For our non-licensed items—like book-lover gifts and general fantasy merch—those are original Kingdom of Threads creations designed by our in-house team!
How do you choose which books to work on?
It's not easy to choose! We're book lovers first-and-foremost, so our list of favorite titles and TBR lists are never ending so deciding who we work with, and when, takes time.
Overall, we partner with stories that our team and our community love. We look for books with rich worlds, memorable characters, passionate fandoms, and authors who are excited to collaborate.
Most of our licensing opportunities come directly from authors, literary agents, or publishers who want to bring their worlds to life in durable, beautiful merch their readers can use every day. Sometimes we also reach out proactively when a story captures our imagination.
If you have a book you think would be a perfect fit, we always love hearing recommendations!
How long will it take to receive my order?
All orders typically fulfilled within 3-7 business days after the order has been placed. U.S. orders should arrive 3-5 business days after items have been shipped, depending on the shipping speed you choose. International shipping may take anywhere from 1-12 weeks. You will receive a shipping notification after your order has shipped (check your spam folder if you do not receive one).
Please make sure your shipping information is correct during check out. We will not refund or replace items, if they are sent to the wrong address.
Do you offer wholesale?
Yes! We proudly work with more than 1,000 independent bookstores, comic shops, game stores, and gift retailers across the U.S. and internationally.

How do I pick the best size for apparel?
Most of our apparel is unisex and runs true to size. Each product page includes detailed measurements so you can compare the fit to a favorite shirt or sweatshirt you already own.
Want the perfect fit every time? Find your favorite hoodie and measure it's length and width as show on the sizing chart in the last image of every apparel listing. Match the measurements to the size guide to find the size for you!

Where are you based?
Kingdom of Threads is located in Tolland, CT! Almost the full team lives locally, though we have an amazing team member on the West Coast and work with artists around the world.
Does Kingdom of Threads have a charitable mission?
Kingdom of Threads donates 10% of all profits to organizations supporting literacy, book access, equality, and LGBTQIA+ rights. In 2024, Kingdom of Threads donated over $50,000 to organizations including the American Library Association, PEN America, The Trevor Project, ACLU, and more.
